“Innovation for Entrepreneurs: King Rice Bran Oil” by Mr Pravit Santiwattana
Mr Pravit Santiwattana, Thai Edible Oil executive director,
was a guest speaker for the Global Mini MBA program of
Thammasat University. Mr Pravit shared is experience through
a special presentation under the subject “Innovation for
Entrepreneurs: King Rice Bran Oil”. After the seminar,
all participants received King Rice Bran Oil as souvenir.
The seminar was held on March 31st, 2012 at the Golden Tulip
Sovereign Hotel, Bangkok.

King Rice Bran Oil supported workshop on standard hospital nutrition
During 28th – 30th March 2012 at the Center for Research 
and Development in Public Health and Environmental 
Health Work in Nakorn Ratchasrima Thailand, 
Assoc. Prof. Naiyana Boontaveeyuwat(left) organized 
a 2nd workshop curriculum on standard hospital 
nutrition for in-patient for nutritionists from hospitals in the 
Northeast of Thailand. Assoc. Prof. Naiyana is the Director 
of the Center for Research and Development in Public Health 
and Environmental Health Work, Faculty of Public Health, 
Mahidol University.

King Rice Bran Oil in The Dr Oz Show
February 27th, 2012 in The Dr Oz Show, a very famous
health talk shows in USA, Dr Oz talked about 
“Miracle Fat to Ger Skinny: Rice Bran Oil”. He talked
about natural micronutrients in Rice Bran Oil especially
“Gamma-Oryzanol” that makes Rice Bran Oil healthy
cooking oil. During the show, there was a VDO clip

Thai Edible Oil Executive Won
During the “MBA Chula Always Reconnect” event 
celebrating 30th anniversary of MBA program, 
Prof. Emeritus Khunying Suchada Keeranandana (left) 
gave Mr Pravit Santiwattana "The Pillar of Business Award" 
as he is among the 30 most distinguished MBA alumni 
within the past 30 years who continuously helped 
the University as well as the Country in both economic 
and social sectors. The event was held on campus 
by the MBA Chula Alumni Association in conjunction 
with the MBA Program of Chulalongkorn Business 
School (CBS) on February 11th 2012.


Note: Mr Pravit Santiwattana is an Executive Director of 
Thai Edible Oil. Professor Emeritus Khunying Suchada 
Keeranandana is the rector of Chulalongkorn University 
Council.

Invited Guest Speaker at Mahidol University.
On 19th January 2012 Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit 
(middle), the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil 
was a guest speaker under the topic of "Media 
in Nutrition Promotion" for Master of Public Health
(International Program) students of the Faculty of
Public Health, Mahidol University. There were 
students exchanged interesting experiences 
as well as received King – High Oryzanol 
as a souvenir.

King and Ricely Welcome the New Year of 2012
In December 2011 Thai Edible Oil introduce 
2 special Gift Sets, King Rice Bran Oil and
Ricely Rice Bran Oil. The gift sets received a well 
response from many health-conscious consumers.

Thai Edible Oil Group donation for the 2011 flood victims
Thai Edible Oil Group donated money, and King Rice Bran Oil 
to non-profit organizations and to military officials to help 
out flood victims and to support those who volunteered 
to help them. Moreover, we setup a shelter in front of our 
Ayutthaya plant for the people whose houses were under water.
Boats, necessities as well as clean water were provided. 
The donated items valued about 3 million baht in total. 

King joined the charity event to help flood victims.
On 4th December 2011 Thai Edible Oil participated 
in charity concert "Baan Rao Baan Poh" to celebrate
H.M. the King’s 84th Birthday in front of Central World
Shopping Complex. The concert was organized 
by the collaboration between Central World and 
Nine Entertain TV Program. During this event 
King Rice Bran Oil High Oryzanol 5,000ppm was 
sold at Chef Phol’s booth. The entire income was
donated to the oganiser for helping flood victims.

Special New Year 2012 Gift Set from King Rice Bran Oil & Ricely Rice Bran Oil.
On 30th November 2011, Thai Edible Oil held 
a public New Year 2012 Special Promotion of 
King Rice Bran Oil and Ricely Rice Bran Oil gift sets 
at Sirinrath Tower, Rama 4 Road, Bangkok.
The entire income of 16,940 baht was donated to 
Thai Red Cross Society for helping flood victims.

Great Activity with "Yindee Sharing Showcase"
On 25th November 2011, King Rice Bran Oil and 
Yindee Cup Coffee Shop organised "Yindee Sharing
Showcase" to introduce healthy salad dressings from 
King – High Oryzanol 5,000 ppm. The cooking 
demonstration was performed by Miss Yam - Jirapreeya
Sangboon(2nd from left) the owner of Yindee Cup Coffee .
King – High Oryzanol 5,000 ppm. was sold during the
event and the entire income of 19,200 baht was donated
to Thai Red Cross Society for helping flood victims.

King sponsored "Lighthouse Family" TV Program in helping flood victims.
Thai Edible Oil Group donated 300 bottles of 
King Rice Bran Oil for making Lighthouse Family 
disaster relief packages. The packages were given 
to flood victims in Nonthaburee Province. Staffs 
from Lighthouse Family received the donated oil 
on Monday 28th November 2011 at Thai Edible Oil
Head Office from Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit,
the Marketing Director. Lighthouse Family Program 
is run by Rattanaveroj family on Channel 5 every Sunday 
8:55 am – 9:20 am.

King supported Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi (Nonthaburi Campus) Flood Refugee Center.
On Thursday 17th November 2011, at the 
Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi 
(Nonthaburi Campus), Thai Edible Oil Group donated
400 litres of King Rice Bran Oil to support the Cafeteria
of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi 
(Nonthaburi Campus) Flood Refugee Center as cooking
supplies for helping flood victims. Asst.Prof.Jintana 
Kerdlapee, Head of the Department of Computer 
Information Systems received the donated oil from 
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director of 
Thai Edible Oil.

King supported Royal Thai Army that helping Flood Victims.
On Wednesday 16th November 2011, 
Thai Edible Oil Group donated 400 litres of 
King Rice Bran Oil to support the Kiak Kai Troop,
Quartermater Department, the Royal Thai Army 
for the army force that worked on helping

On Tuesday 15th November 2011,

as a cooking supply for flood victims.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration officers 
received the donated oil, in front of the City Hall 
on behalf of the cooking center.

King supported Pra Chom Klao Lad Krabang Flood Refugee Center.
On Tuesday 15th November 2011, 
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director of
Thai Edible Oil donated 400 litres of King Rice Bran Oil
on behalf of Thai Edible Oil Group to support Pra Chom
Klao Lad Krabang Flood Refugee Center as a cooking
supply for flood victims as well as giving to the volunteers
working at the center.

Naval Civil Affairs Department in cooking for 
Navy Force that works on helping flood victims.

On Wednesday 2nd November 2011,

Thai Edible Oil donated 400 litres of King Rice Bran Oil
on behalf of the Thai Edible Oil Group to Rajamangala
National Stadium Flood Evacuation Centre to help 
cooking for flood evacuees as well as giving to 
flood victims in the surrounding areas. 

Mr. Nitirut Teeraditsak (Chef Zen) the volunteer 
at the kitchen of the evacuation center received 
the donated oil on behalf of the center.

On Wednesday 26th October 2011, 
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director of 
Thai Edible Oil donated 400 litres of King Rice Bran Oil
on behalf of the Thai Edible Oil Group to support 
"Bangkok University Krua Arsa Flood Helping" Campaign.
Mr. Akom Samuthkochorn, the Director, Sports and 
Student Activities Office received the donated oil 
on behalf of the Bangkok University Campaign 
for cooking for the flood victims.

On 26th October 2001, Prof Lersom Sthapitanonda, 
Chulalongkorn University Vice President and team 
received 400 litres of King Rice Bran Oil from 
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director of 
Thai Edible Oil for cooking for flood victims.

King supported TV Burabha in helping flood victims.
On Friday 20th October 2011, Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, 
the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil donated 400 litres 
of King Rice Bran Oil on behalf of the Thai Edible Oil Group
to support TV Burabha in helping flood victims. Mr. Suthipong
Thamawuth, the Managing Director of TV Burabha Co., Ltd., 
the producer of “Kon Kon Kon” program, “Kob Nok Kala” 
program, and “Krabi Mue Neung” program received the 
donated cooking oil for the flood victims.

King supported “The Restoration for Natural Disaster Victims” Program with The Nation Multimedia Group
On Friday 21st October 2011, Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit,
the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil donated 400 litres
of King Rice Bran Oil on behalf of the Thai Edible Oil Group
to support The nation Multimedia group on “The Restoration
for Natural Disaster Victims” Program. Mr. Pairoch 
Vasanakomut, on behalf of The Nation Multimedia Group
received the donated cooking oil for the flood victims.

King made a donation to Poh Teck Tung Foundation for helping flood victims.
On Tuesday 18th October 2011, Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, 
the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil made a donation 
in the amount of THB 100,000 and 400 litres of King Rice 
Bran Oil on behalf of the Thai Edible Oil Group to Ms. Wannida
Chureekorn, the Manager of Poh Teck Tung Foundation, 
for helping flood victims.

King made flood donation to Phra Bat Nampu Temple, Lop Buree
On 14th October 2011, Phra Udom Prachatorn, 
the Abbot of Phra Bat Nampu Temple came to Manorom 
Tower, Rama 4Rd., to collect the donated items such as
rice and grocery from the office around the Manorom area.
The donation is for helping flood victims, the HIV patients,
as well as the orphans at the temple.At this opportunity, 
Thai Edible Oil Group donated some money and 180 litres 
of King Rice Bran Oil.

King Rice Bran Oil and Vachira Phuket Hospital held “The 14th Good Nutrition Good Health” Seminar.
On 13th October 2011 Thai Edible Oil in collaboration with 
Vachira Phuket Hospital organised the 14th “Good Nutrition 
Good Health” seminar at Mahogany Room, Vachira Phuket 
Hospital.

In the picture Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director 
of Thai Edible Oil gave a token of appreciation to 
Dr. Jessada Chungpaibulpatana, Director of Vachira Phuket 
Hospital for the opening speech.

There were 2 topics delivered at the seminar. 
The first topic was “Food for Disease Prevention” 
by the Asst Prof. Dr. Rewadee Chongsuwat, the Secretary 
of Nutrition Association of Thailand and the Head of Nutrition 
Department, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University. 
The second topic was “Health Benefits of Rice Bran Oil” 
by Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director of Thai 
Edible Oil. Ms. Tida Thawarak, the Head of Nutrition 
Department facilitated and assisted for the convenience 
through out the seminar.

Public Relations Activity by King at Super Cheap Department Store
Thai Edible Oil held a Public Relations Activity to promote 
health benefits of King Rice Bran Oil and was welcomed 
by Ms. Jinda Arunsawad, the Purchase Manager of 
Super Cheap Ltd. The event was held on 11st October 2011 
at Super Cheap Department Store, Phuket.

Dr. Sumeth Tantivejkul (right), the chairman of the 
Thai Rice Foundation gave Rice Innovation Award 2011 
to Mr. Pravit Santiwattana (left), the Executive Director
of Thai Edible Oil. Mr. Pravit won the second-prize of the
Rice Innovation Awards 2011 from the innovation of 
“King Rice Bran Oil Non-dairy Creamer”. 
There was no first-prize winner at this year’s awards.

The event was organised by the National Innovation Agency 
and the Thai Rice Foundation, on 5th October 2011, 
at Siam City Hotel, Bangkok. King Rice Bran Oil 
Non-dairy Creamer is the first innovation of the world and 
it is the 3rd National Innovation Award that Thai Edible Oil 
had won since 2006.

King made a donation to help flood victims with Thai Red Cross Society.
Thai Edible Oil Group, the manufacturer and distributor 
of King Rice Bran Oil made a donation as well as gave 
King Rice Bran Oil to help flood victims.

On Wednesday 28th September 2011, Mrs. Busakorn 
Onpradit, the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil 
made a donation in the amount of THB 100,000 
on behalf of the Thai Edible Oil Group to Ms. Wilaiwan
Petchkum, Assistance Director of Relief and Community
Health Bureau, The Thai Red Cross Society, to help
flood victims.

On Tuesday 4th October 2011 Mr. Pithakchai Sitthisongkram,
the Head of Unit Warehouse of Relief and Community 
Health Bureau, received 400 liters of King Rice Bran Oil 
on behalf of The Thai Red Cross Society, to help in 
cooking for flood victims.

During the event Thai Edible Oil also exhibited 
“King Rice Bran Oil Non-dairy Creamer”. This creamer from 
rice bran oil is the first innovation of the world. The creamer
allows health-conscious consumer to enjoy their favorite 
cup of drink without worrying about saturated fatty acid, 
trans fatty acid, and cholesterol. The creamer also contains 
natural anti-free radicals, Oryzanol and Phytosterols, 
as well as helps reduce bad cholesterol (LDL-C).

King Rice Bran Oil supports the Comforting of Army Forces of the Department
Thai Edible Oil Group, the producer of King Rice Bran Oil 
gave 50 cartons of King Rice Bran Oil, valued 36,000 Baht 
to the Department of Army Welfare for visiting, encouraging,
and supporting the military forces who carry out Government 
service on field. At this opportunity, Colonel Tanavut Chantes,

King joined Innovation Showcase 2011
Dr. Wantanee Chongkham, the Director of Innovation 
Cultural Support, National Innovation Agency (middle) 
had a publication opening of a new book called 
"Miraculous Innovative of Thai Rice".During the event 
there was an open discussion under the topic of "Innovation
and Value of Thai Rice", which Mr.Pravit Santiwattana, 
the Executive Director of Thai Edible Oil (right) participated.

There was an exhibition of Innovated Thai Products.
Information on health benefits of King Rice Bran Oil 
was promoted to visitors. In addition, King Rice Bran Oil –
High Oryzanol was sold during the exhibition.The event
was held at Central Changwattana Department Store,
Bangkok, on 27th August 2011.

King Rice Bran Oil at “Rice Day and Farmer of the Nation 2011”
During 5-6th June 2011, King Rice Bran Oil exhibited at 
“Rice Day & Farmer of the Nation 2011” at the Department
of Rice, Ministry of Agricultural and Cooperatives.
At this opportunity Mr. Prasert Kosanvit, the Director of Rice 
Department visited King Rice Bran Oil promotional booth.
Also there were many visitors interested in King Rice Bran Oil 
High Oryzanol 5,000 ppm.

King Launched the “Functional Healthy Menu” Book at THAIFEX 2011
King Rice Bran Oil exhibited an informative booth 
and in the same time promoted a special activity, 
launching the “Functional Healthy Menu” cooking book 
at THAIFEX – World of Food Asia 2011 Fair during
28-29th May 2011 at Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
The book presents 20 functional menus under the 
concept of “Food is Natural Medicine” that were 
selected for the people who are health-conscious.

 
King Rice Bran Oil received an honorable visit from
the three special guests who were the cookbook team 
(left – right), Chef Zen – Nitirut Teeraditsak the food specialist 
as well as the host of healthy menu program, 
Asst. Prof. Dr. Rewadee Chongsuwat the secretary of 
Thailand Nutrition Association, and Mr. Pravit Santiwattana
the Executive Director of Thai Edible Oil. At this opportunity,
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit (1st on the right) the Marketing 
Director of Thai Edible Oil gave them a warm welcome.    


Furthermore, King Rice Bran Oil had variety activities 
for people to join, such as health benefit informative activities, 
functional food demonstrations and games which received 
well response from people around the fair. The people 
who joined the activities enjoyed the games 
and all received gifts from the event. 

King Rice Bran Oil, Caring for Health-Conscious Consumers, had product at special price at the “Health Market” fair.
On 23th April 2011, Thai Edible Oil promoted 
King Rice Bran Oil –High Oryzanol, which contains
Oryzanol up to 5,000 ppm., meanwhile at the “Health Market” 
trade fair held at Chaophya Hospital, Bangkok. 
The product was also sold at special price. 
The promotional event received well responses 
from a lot of heath-conscious consumers.

Third year of 30th Anniversary Scholarship from King Rice Bran Oil
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit the Marketing Director 
of Thai Edible Oil, on behalf of King Rice Bran Oil 
gave 80?scholarships to Mr. Songchai Limpapruek
(second from left), the Deputy Director of 
Education Area Office, Ayutthaya Zone 2, 
Ayutthaya province. This is the 3rd consecutive year
since the scholarship was initiated in 2008, 
which was to celebrate King Rice Bran Oil 
30th Anniversary in 2007. The total amount of 
the scholarship from 2008 – 2011 is now 960,000 Baht.

The launching of “Krua Leaw Tae Krit” cookbook
The liking menus from cooking show “Krua Leaw Tae Krit”, 
broadcasting Thursday and Friday from 08.30 a.m. - 08.35 a.m.
on Channel 3 had been collected into the newly 
launched “Krua Leaw Tae Krit” cookbook. 
The launching was held on 1st April 2011 at Chic Republic,

Thai Edible Oil Group made donation to help flood victims in Thailand
Thai Edible Oil Group including, Thai Ruam Jai 
Vegetable Oil Co., Ltd. and Thai Edible Oil Co., Ltd., 
the manufacturer and distributor of King Rice Bran Oil 
made donation to help flood victims. 
During the special program “Citizen – Government 
together Help Flood Victims” on Modern 9 TV, 
the Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva gave an honor
to receive the donated money from Mr. Pravit Santiwattana, 
the Executive Director of Thai Edible Oil Group. 
The donated amount of 300,000 baht was for
contribution to the Public Disaster Fund.

Informative session on “Benefits of Rice Bran Oil” at Central Chest Institute of Thailand.
On 17 March 2011, Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit,
the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil was
a guest speaker on the topic of “Benefits of
Rice Bran Oil”. The event was held under the
“Nutritional Treating for Reducing Heart Disease,
Diabetic, Hypertension and Cholesterol” Seminar.
There were nutritionists, public health technical officers,
nurses, lecturers, and nutrition students participated
in the session. The event was held at Central Chest
Institute of Thailand, Nonthaburee province.

King joined “World Kidney” Exhibition at Phramongkutklao Hospital.
On 10 March 2011, Phramongkulklao Hospital
organised a “World Kidney” day exhibition to give out
information on Kidney disease. King Rice Bran Oil was
also exhibiting an informative booth during the event.

“Get Healthy with Functional Food” by King Rice Bran Oil
During the Health Food & Ingredient Thailand 2011,
King Rice Bran Oil organised a healthy talk under the topic
of “Get Healthy with Functional Food”. The talk was honored
by a guest speaker, Asst. Prof. Rewadee Chongsuwat,
Lecturer from the Nutrition Department, Faculty of Public
Health, Mahidol University. The speaker is also the Secretary
of the Thai Food Good Heart Program, by Thai Heart
Foundation. The event was held at IMPACT, Muang Thong,
Bangkok on 5th March 2011.

คิง ยืนยันจัดส่งน้ำมันป้อนตลาดเต็มที่ ไม่มีกักตุน
เนื่องจากมีผู้บริโภคหลายท่านได้แจ้งมาว่าหาซื้อน้ำมันรำข้าวคิง
ไม่ค่อยได้ ฝ่ายการตลาด บจก.น้ำมันบริโภคไทย จึงขอชี้แจงให้ทราบว่า
บริษัทฯ มีการจัดส่งน้ำมันรำข้าวคิง กระจายเข้าสู่ช่องทางการจำหน่าย
ต่างๆ ในปริมาณปกติ ไม่มีการกักตุนสินค้า 
        แต่สถานการณ์การขาดแคลนน้ำมันปาล์ม ซึ่งเป็นน้ำมันที่มีสัดส่วน
ในตลาดน้ำมันพืชบรรจุขวดสูงที่สุด ทำให้ผู้บริโภคที่ปกติใช้น้ำมันปาล์ม
จำเป็นต้องซื้อน้ำมันชนิดอื่นแทน ส่งผลให้น้ำมันเกือบทุกชนิดรวมทั้ง
น้ำมันรำข้าวคิงจำหน่ายหมดอย่างรวดเร็ว เมื่อสถานการณ์ขาดแคลน
น้ำมันปาล์มคลี่คลายลง ปัญหานี้ก็จะลดลงในที่สุด

    On 25 September 2010, King Rice Bran Oil participated

On 22 September 2010, King Rice Bran Oil exhibited

King Rice Bran Oil at the 4th National Nutrition Academic Conference.
On 13 September 2011, King Rice Bran Oil exhibited an
informative booth at The “4th National Nutrition Academic

King at “Fine Food Australia 2010”, Melbourne, Australia
Fine Food is Australia’s largest food and hospitality
industries event. King Rice Bran Oil also exhibited
a promotional booth at the Fine Food Australia 2010.
There were many people visited King Rice Bran Oil
booth as well as asked information about rice bran oil.
During the trade fair, the Department of Export Promotion
organized cooking demonstration of Thai food,
which used King Rice Bran Oil as one of the ingredients.
The event was held during 13 – 16 September 2010,
at Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre, Australia.

On 13 September 2010, Mr. Kriangsak Kittichaisaree
(second from right), Thailand’s Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary to Australia visited King Rice Bran Oil
booth. At this opportunity the Ambassador Kriangsak gave

Mr. Pravit Santiwattana, the Executive Director and

King Rice Bran Oil Shortening won the Rice Innovation Award (1st place)
“King Rice Bran Oil Shortening” another achievement
of Mr. Pravit Santiwattana, the Executive Director of
Thai Edible Oil Co., Ltd. that has just won the First prize
of Rice Innovation Award 2010. As the winner Mr. Pravit
received the Royal giving award of Her Royal Highness
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The award giving
ceremony was organized by collaboration between
the Thai Rice Foundation under Royal Patronage and
the National Innovation Agency, Ministry of Science and
Technology, on 5 October 2010 at Pullman Hotel,
Bangkok.
       King Rice Bran Oil Shortening is the first shortening
in the world that is produced from rice bran oil. The shortening
could be used in various applications while still containing
the same Vitamin and Micronutrients including Oryzanol,
Phytosterols, and Vitamin E, as in King Rice Bran Oil.
        This is the second time that Mr. Pravit became the winner
of Innovation Award. The first time was in 2006, when he won
the Gold National Innovation Award in the Economic Category
for King Rice Bran Oil – High Oryzanol 4,000 ppm.

TRJ received “Excellent / Outstanding Factory Award”
Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil, the producer of TRJ
Defatted Rice Bran and Crude Rice Bran Oil received
the “Outstanding Factory Award” from the Promotion
and Development in efficiently use of water resources
within Chaophraya River Basin Industrial Section.
The award was organised by the Department of
Industrial Works, Ministry of Industrial. In the picture
Mr. Prawait Santiwattana (left), the Executive Director
of Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil Co., Ltd., received
the award from Mr. Supachai Siriwattanachalernchai,
the Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial.

Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil received “NES AWARD 2010”
Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil (TRJ), the producer of
defatted rice bran and crude rice bran oil received
“NES AWARD 2010” for Excellency in Applying and
Developing of Engineering Management. The selection
criteria considered the management of reduction in
production cost, energy conservation, and efficiently
maintenance of machineries. In the picture,
Mr. Prawait Santiwattana, the Executive Director of
Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil Co. Ltd., received
the “NES AWARD 2010 from Mr. Mathayom Niphakasem,
the consultant of the Minister of Industry. The ceremony
was organized by the Network of Engineering Service
and the Department of Industrial Promotion, and held on
20 September 2010, at Pullman Hotel, King Power, Bangkok.

King at THAIFEX World of Food Asia 2010
Thai Edible Oil participated in THAIFEX World of Food
Asia 2010 at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani, from 30 June
to 4 July 2010. During the trade fair, there were activities for
health-conscious consumer. Mr. Phol Tantasathien, the host
of a cooking show on Modern 9 Channel and the owner of
an up-scaled restaurant in Bangkok, was a special guest that
came to share his professional cooking experience as well as
his health care tips.

King joined Chea Khan Khn Khn Khaw Chea TV program in the 3rd trip of following Royal Thought Project at Chachoengsao Province.
In March, the fellowship of participants and
King Rice Bran Oil visited Kao Hin Sorn Research
Station, which is initiated by HIM Thought. The group
also visited Nong-wa Agriculture Village Project in
Chachoengsao.
Throughout the trip there was a specialist gave out
useful information as well as varieties of recreational
activities. Moreover, Mr. Phchr Lxm-run, the sport
news announcer from the TV program used
King Rice Bran Oil for cooking demonstration of
“Minced Fish Spicy Salad” (Lab Pla Chon).The Royal

“Value of Thai Rice” photo contest award giving ceremony by King Rice Bran Oil
Thai Edible Oil organized a photo contest award giving
ceremony under the concept of the “Value of Thai Rice”.
The event was hosted by Mr. Pramote Santiwattana,
the Executive Director of Thai Edible Oil (middle-left).
During the ceremony the Director of Bangkok Art and
Cultural Center, Mr. Chatwichai Promthatavatee (middle-right)
gave an honor to take a memorial photo together with
the award recipients.

The announcement of “Value of Thai Rice” photo contest winners.
On 16 March 2010, the committees from the Panel of
Photography Association under Royal Patronage and
the Executive Directors from Thai Edible Oil together
made a final judgment for the Photo contest. There were
13 awards all together which were judged from all the photos
of participated undergraduate students in Thailand. The final

        The award winning photos will be displayed at the
“Value of Thai Rice” exhibition from 3-9 April 2010 from
10:00 to 21:00, except Monday at the Bangkok Art and

คิง ร่วมตามรอยโครงการพระราชดำริ กับเช้าข่าวข้น คนข่าวเข้า Trip ที่ 2 ณ จ.เพชรบุรี
เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ ที่ผ่านมา คิงและทางคณะผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการฯ
ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมโครงการการศึกษาวิจัยและพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อมแหลมผักเบี้ย
อันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริ จ.เพชรบุรี และเข้าชมความสวยงามของ
พระราชนิเวศน์มฤคทายวัน และอุทยานสิ่งแวดล้อมนานาชาติสิรินธร
ตลอดโครงการฯ มีการให้ความรู้โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และมีกิจกรรมต่างๆ

King at “Rich & Wealthy Thai-China Agricultural Products” Trade Fair
King Rice Bran Oil participated as well as joined activities
during “Rich & Wealthy Thai-Chinese Agricultural Products”
trade fair. The trade fair, which was organized by
The National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food
Standard (ACFS). The trade fair was aimed to provide
information on import & export regulations of agricultural
products and to encourage the development in production
and trade of Thai-Chinese consumers. The event was held
from 25-27 December 2009, at Impact Arena, 
Muang Thong Thani.

King at “InnovAsia 2009 Conference & Exhibition: Food in the Future”
King Rice Bran Oil participated in the “InnovAsia 2009
Conference & Exhibition: Food in the Future”, There were
Nutritionist and Dietician from many countries participated
in the Conference. During the event Thai Edible Oil had
an opportunity to present health benefits of rice bran oil.
The seminar was organised by the National Innovation
Agency (NIA), Ministry of Science and Technology at
Queen Sirikit Convention Center, Bangkok.

TRJ sponsored Red Cross Festival in Ayutthaya.
Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil Co., Ltd. (TRJ) gave
King Rice Bran Oil to Thai Red Cross Society for sponsoring
Ayutthaya Red Cross Festival. The presentation was on
17 November 2009, at an administrative Office in
  Ayutthaya province.

TRJ Vegetable Oil held an annual Buddhist Ceremony.
On 28 October 2009, Thai Ruam Jai Vegetable Oil Co., Ltd.
(TRJ) an affiliated company of Thai Edible Oil Group made
merit and gave a feast to Buddhist monks at Bangsai Plant,

during 18-19 November 2009.

On 7 November 2009, King Rice Bran Oil exhibited

fair. The event was organized by Sukkhapab Dee
Magazine at Mongkutwattana General Hospital,
Bangkok.

King sponsored “Health Promotion Week” at Hospital for Tropical Diseases
Hospital for Tropical Diseases organized a Healthy
Promotion Week during 3-4 November 2009. At the
event King Rice Bran Oil exhibited an informative
booth on benefits of rice bran oil as well as sponsored
“Health Menu Cooking Competition”.

King joined “Cooking Tips” Workshop at QSNCC.
King exhibited a promotional booth and had cooking
demonstration of a healthy menu of “Thai Relish Tofu

King Rice Bran Oil  exhibited  a public relation  and

Thai Life Insurance Company Limited together with

Thai Edible Oil joined the 19th International Congress
of Nutrition by exhibited an informative booth. The
congress was held from 4 – 9 October 2009, at Bitech
Bangna, Bangkok. There were 3,800 nutritionists and
dieticians from many countries participated in the congress.

During the congress Thai Edible Oil made varieties of
healthy cookies that used King Rice Bran oil for the

Annual seminar on “Unity Drives King Rice Bran Oil”
Thai Edible Oil held the 2009 annual internal staff
seminar under the concept of “Unity Drives King Rice
Bran Oil”. There were useful knowledge from specialized
speaker passed on to the staff as well as many unity
creating activities.The seminar was held from 26-27
September 2009, at Wang Yao Riverside Resort,
Nakornnayok province.

The Heart Foundation of Thailand under the Royal

Princess Somsavali Phravararajatinuddamatu gave
an honorable opening.

On the 3 September 2009, King Rice Bran Oil joined “The
Truth about Lipid” Seminar at Theptharin Hospital. In the

On 23 August 2009, King Rice Bran Oil exhibited
a promotional booth at Vachirabenjatas Garden
(Suan Rot Fai) where King Rice Bran Oil was well
accepted by health-conscious consumers.  A lot of

Second Year of 30th Anniversary Scholarship from King Rice Bran Oil
On 13th August 2009, Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit (left),
the Marketing Director of Thai Edible Oil, on behalf of
King Rice Bran Oil gave King’s 30th Anniversary
Scholarship to Mrs. Palida Kulrungroj (third from right),
Director of Education Area Office, Ayutthaya Zone2.
       The Scholarship was initiated last year to celebrate
King Rice Bran Oil the 30th Anniversary. The aim is to
expand education opportunity of the selected students
in the Ayutthaya education Area Zone 2.

King Rice Bran Oil is sponsoring Cooking Show section in
Lighthouse Family TV Program on channel 5. The show is
hosted by the Rattanaveroj family, which include John,

King Rice Bran Oil exhibited a promotional and
informative booth at Thailand Health and Wellness Fair.
There were lots of health-conscious consumers visited
the booth to receive plenty of information on benefits of

Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit, the Marketing Director of

Chulalongkorn University Outstanding Alumnus
On the 1st of February 2009, during Chulalongkorn
Chemistry Reunion, the Faculty of Chemistry, Department
of Science together with the Chemistry Alumni Club of
Chulalongkorn University  awarded the “Outstanding
Alumnus” recognition to Mr. Pravit Santiwattana,
the Executive Director of Thai Edible Oil,
at Sala Phra Kieo, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.

King Joined the Launching of Princess new Eco Shower Fryer
Central Trading Co., Ltd. invited Thai Edible Oil
to  join  the  launching  of  Princess new products. 
The highlight was the new Princess Eco Shower Fryer,
which has a unique oil spray system.  The event
was held during 3-11 February 2009 at Central Chidlom
Department Store, Bangkok. Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit,
the Marketing Director and Ms. Jitwalai Santiwatana,
the Assistance Executive Director of King Rice Bran Oil
welcomed Ms. Chadchawan Markboonprasit, Princess’s

Cooking Show with King Rice Bran Oil
On the 6th of February, Ms. Yosinee Na Nakorn,
Princess Brand Ambassador of Thailand demonstrated
frying cooking show; using new Princess Eco Shower
Fryer. There were also cooking demonstrations from 
Thai celebrities. King Rice Bran Oil which has
a high smoke point was used during the demonstration
of the new Princess Eco Shower Fryer.

Choosing and Using Cooking Oils to the Healthiest Way with King Rice Bran Oil
On the weekend of the same event, Mrs. Busakorn
Onpradit, the Marketing Director of King Rice Bran Oil
was an invited guest speaker on “Choosing and Using
Cooking Oils to the Healthiest Way with King Rice Bran Oil”.
The  session  received  well responses  and
King Rice Bran Oil’s souvenir was given away to
the consumers.

“Food for Heart” activity arranged by King, 4 Care and Select
King Rice Bran Oil in cooperation with 4 Care Cereal
Cream and Select Tuna organized “Food for Heart” Activity.
At the event the Marketing Director of King Rice Bran Oil
Mrs. Busakorn Onpradit and the General Manager of 4 Care,

about fat and oil as well as introduced Food for Heart

Lady Sumalee Chatikawanich, the first vice-chairman
of Thai Heart Foundation under the Royal Patronage gave

King’s 30th Anniversary gave 80 Scholarships
For Celebrating 30 years of King Rice Bran Oil,
Thai  Edible  Oil Co., Ltd  gives  80  scholarships  for  3 
consecutive years. The scholarship is for primary school
students, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya education district 2,
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. In this opportunity
Ms. Parida Kulrungroj  (2nd  from  left)  the  Director  of

Alumnus  of  the  year 2007”  recognition  by  the Faculty of
Science,   Chulalongkorn  University,    from    Prof. Charas
Suwanwela,  M.D. (right),  the  Chairman  of  the  University
Council,   Chulalongkorn  University.   The  ceremony  was
held  on   27   January, 2007   at   the   Alumni   Party  90th
anniversary Faculty of Science.

King: The Supplier of the Year 2005/2006
Thai Edible Oil Co., Ltd. was awarded the “Supplier of the
Year 2005/2006” by Sun Valley (Thailand) Ltd. This Award is
in  recognition of  the supplier’s  outstanding  contributions  to
product quality,  on time delivery,  corrective action, company
rules, and services. Sun Valley (Thailand) Ltd. is a big poultry
processing business  owned by Cargill. It is one of  Thailand’s 
top ten frozen chicken exporters.

“King – High Oryzanol” The winner of the National Innovation Awards 2006 in Economics

received    the   Gold   National   Innovation  Award   in   the 
economics category for King Rice Bran Oil – High Oryzanol
from Dr. Saksit Tridech (right),  the  Permanent  Secretary of 
the Ministry of  Science and Technology  and  the Chairman
of  the  National Innovation Board.  The  event  was held on
“The  National  Innovation  Day”   October 5,  2006  at  The 
National Queen Sirikit Convention Center.
